swamp thing

Busy. Been slow with email, but I'm alive and everyone's stuff is getting done. How do people do it? It is good, but prioritizing, organizing, it's a job in itself.
On top with seeing old friends not seen in years, what is the point of being busy if you don't live life? Being brave enough to face old ghosts, to face new challenges, being one's self while working on projects for others'... Ahhh...prioritizing, prioritizing......

Yeah, know what you mean. I find I don't draw so much these days and don't update my blog as much just because I'm out having a real life, meeting new people, going to live gigs. Beats sitting in your room all day drawing or sitting in an office. Bad news is your drawing ability suffers, small price I guess.

Wicked picture, she is a topless, inky swamp-mermaid, very rare indeed.

There was this podcast interview with Brad Bird where he said this awesome quote. "You can't make the illusion of life if you've never lived a life." I believe this 100%. Otherwise, we keep "masterbating" the same style and idea over and over again. Keep living and keep up the great art.

I hear ya, dearie. I don't know how people prioritize either, I'm always getting by by the skin of my teeth (I hate that saying yet I'm always compelled to use it. ARGH)

Yes! Sometimes just organizing one's self is quite distracting.

I like your blog and your work lots.

Great image. Very moody!

There should be a national holiday for animators. That way we'll be forced to stop working!

There's beers to drink and video games to play for goodness sake!

The mermaid is beautiful! I like her face expression and the hair, you really can see it in this drawing that she is in the water!

I really like the feel of this mermaid. Realy feels like she is underwater. And ya always wish I have more time to do my own stuff. the less time I have the more I more creative I get. Maybe it's kinda like when you'd rather doodle than do your homework. or maybe it's just me :D.
